Charging stages:
- Battery test (phase 1): Connect the device to the power source and press the Mode button to select the appropriate charging stage. When you connect the device to the battery, it automatically checks the battery's capacity. Normally, the device switches to the next stage within 5 seconds. 6V batteries with voltage below 3.5 V or 12V batteries with voltage below 5 V are defective and the device cannot handle them.
- Removal of sulfation (phase 2): Detects sulfated battery. Removes sulfation from the battery's electrodes with pulse current and voltage, thus restoring the battery's capacity.
- Soft Start (phase 3): Preliminary start test to determine battery condition. If the battery is deeply discharged, the charger starts Soft Start mode. The charging begins at a low current until the voltage reaches normal charging level.
- Bulk (phase 4): Main charging mode where the battery is primarily charged. During this stage, about 75-80% of the battery's charge level is reached. The CRX321 provides maximum current until the terminal voltage reaches the same level as the full voltage level in a standard battery.
- Absorption (phase 5): Final charge to nearly 100% at nominal voltage. The current decreases until the minimum level is reached.
- Analysis (phase 6): Tests if the power is retained in the battery or not. If the battery fails to retain its power, it is deemed defective, and the charger alerts. Additionally, the red fault indicator is lit.
- Float (phase 7): Maintenance charge at nominal voltage maintains charge level at 100%. Normally, the charging mode is time-limited (up to 10 days) when the Float mode charges the battery indefinitely without harming it.
- Pulse (phase 8): maintenance charge of the battery bringing the charge level to 95-100 percent. The charger recognizes the battery's voltage and always provides a charging pulse when needed to preserve the battery's full charge level. - Product groups
