Lightning finds the fastest and easiest path to the ground, and if it happens through an electric fence without lightning protection, the damage to the electric fence units is usually very extensive. The lightning protection should have its own grounding system that should be installed at least 15 m from the unit's grounding. For maximum protection, the grounding of the lightning protection must be better than the unit's grounding.
NOTE! If the lightning conductor is mounted against an outer wall, it must be mounted on a non-combustible material. It must be connected to the unit, grounding, and fence with a feeder cable of at least 2.5mm for electric fences. - Product groups
